Olya was born in St. Petersburg, Russia and first came to the US in the mid nineties as a student.  She has been living between the two countries for a number of years until finally coming to settle in New York, which she now calls home. Olya has a background in filmmaking, journalism and photography and has worked as a program curator for several international film festivals before pursuing photography full time.
